it’s weird… I’m learning to relate to my mother as a fellow sister in Christ. I’m learning to pray for her in a manner that represents the verse, “… for all have fallen short of the glory of god…”
not that I never did this before… it’s just different now… in that I’m not disappointed with her for not holding up to the mother Theresa-image of my youth… (well… mother Theresa is a bit of a stretch… how about spiderwoman? Yea. Patricia parker – the normal-with-all-the-trappings woman for all to see, with heroic intensions… yeah… that’s a better fit) whereas now, I’m able to empathize on more occasions then not.
Pretty cool!
Really need to learn how to read one book at a time… I’ve added number five. *Sigh*
Remember this song? GREAT song…
Why have you chosen me
Out of millions your child to be
You know all the wrongs that I have done
Why would you pardon me
Forgive my iniquity
You saved me gave jesus your son
Lord, help me be what you want me to be
Your word I ascribe to obey
My life I now live, for you I will live
And walk by your side all the way.
I am amazed to know
That a god so great could love me so
Is willing and wanting to bless
His love is so wonderful
His mercy so bountiful
I can’t understand it I confess
The words are right, right?
